CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Poole (1996: 36)]. FAMILY: ACROCERIDAE. [Lispa] Wiedemann, 1817e: 203. CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Lispe Latreille, 1797 or subsequent usage of Lispa Walckaenar, 1802. FAMILY: MUSCIDAE. REMARKS: Criteria to make this name available as an emendation were not found to be fulfilled in this work. The earliest emendation of Lispe Latreille, 1797 using the spelling Lispa is by Walckenaer (1802: xix, 392).
