Abstract
- Mucinous cystic neoplasm (MCN) is one of the three main precursors of pancreatic invasive carcinoma, the other two being pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN) and intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia (IPMN). The macroscopic and microscopic features of MCN are discussed in detail in this chapter, together with sampling and a brief mention of the rare variants. Potential entities to consider in the differential diagnosis are also included.
