Abstract

4. Haplogryllacris Karny, 1937 () Haplogryllacris: Karny, 1937. Genera Insectorum, 206: 98; Otte, 2000. Orthoptera Species File 8: Gryllacrididae, Stenopelmatidae, Cooloolidae, Schizodactylidae, Anastostomatidae and Rhaphidophoridae: 22; Ingrisch, 2018. Zootaxa, 4510(1): 188; Cadena-Castaeda, 2019. Zootaxa, 4605(1): 85. Type species: Haplogryllacris simplex (Walker, 1871). Diagnosis. Body medium to large. Head large and broad. Frons with obviously wrinkles or punctuations, clypeus at least with 2 large concavities, genae indistinct bulging. Fore and middle femora ventrally unarmed. Fore and middle tibiae with 4 pairs of long movable spine on ventral surface (excluding the apical spines), in length equal in size; middle tibiae dorsally with 1 internal apical spine; dorsal surface of hind tibiae almost flat, with normal dorsal spine on both margins. Meso- and Metasternum rounded. Male subgenital plate with well developed styli, between them with a narrowly lobate projection. Discussion. In the catalogue of Jin & Xia (1994) and Liu & Xia (1994), all recorded the Haplogryllacris castanea (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1888) distributed in China, but according the original information of type specimen provided by Brunner von Wattenwyl (1888; Patria: Himalaja (c. m.).) Karny (1929c: 1 male (Typus), coll. B r. v. W. Nr. 2710, Himalaya,Thorey, beiderseits gespannt. 1 female (det. B r. v. W.), coll. B r. v. W. Nr. 5506, Hinterindien, Thorey, ungespannt.), we thought the species hardly distributed in China. Species included. The genus includes 7 species, one of which in China.
Published as part of Bian, Xun, Liu, Jing & Yang, Zizhong, 2021, Anotated Checklist of Chinese Ensifera: The Gryllacrididae, pp. 201-254 in Zootaxa 4969 (2) on page 209, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4969.2.1, http://zenodo.org/record/4748849
{"references":["Karny, H.
