The first limitation is the retrospective study design. Second we only included symptomatic endpoints, so we cannot rule out that patients developed an asymptomatic reobstruction in our cohort. A low CHA2DS2-VASc score is also associated with a low risk for reobstruction after PTA of the SFA. Especially diabetes and hypertension were main risk factors for the development of a symptomatic reobstruction in our PTA patients. In patients after stent insertion in the SFA, reobstruction rate was high and did not further increase with the CHA2DS2-VASc score. References
