Front Cover: Reactivity of Coinage Metal Hydrides for the Production of H(2) Molecules (ChemistryOpen 8/2021)

The Front Cover shows the studied process of releasing the hydrogen stored in coinage metals hydrides. The possibility of reversibly storing hydrogen using these metallic compounds as reactants to produce H(2) gas and metallic dimers has been investigated. Computational studies have been carried out to investigate these processes, as shown in the concept art by the Schrödinger equation.
