Abstract
- A histochemical study of alkaline phosphatase in heterolysosomes (demonstrated by their content of acid phosphatase and β-glucuronidase) is described in the endocytizing epithelia of the neonate rat small intestine. The possible origins and functional significance of the enzyme in these organelles is discussed.
