The Point Of View On The Modernization Plan For The Gmdss

This article presents a preliminary Modernization Plan for the Global Maritime Distress Communication System (GMDSS). On the base of a status of the GMDSS and the discussion on a modernization topic, some aspects of the Modernization Plan for the GMDSS, both regulatory and technical nature, have been described. Further work on the GMDSS Modernization Plan was also considered.
