Abstract
- Family: Cepheidae Berlese, 1896 Remark: Cepheidae Berlese, 1896, the commonly used name for this oribatid mite family, is a junior homonym of Cepheidae Agassiz, 1862 (Cnidaria). A proposal to establish a replacement name for Cepheidae Berlese has been submitted to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (Halliday & Norton 2019).
