Abstract
- A case of adenomatous polyp of the colon with focal squamous metaplasia is reported. Squamous metaplasia has been described in both neoplastic and non-neoplastic conditions of the colon. However, it has not previously been documented to occur in adenomatous polyp. The histogenesis, possible predisposing factors, and clinical significance of the lesion are discussed.
