Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah Program Pembelajaran Keterampilan Laboratorium Astronomi Berbasis Kemampuan Generik Sains (PPKL-BKGS) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan laboratorium dan kemampuan generik sains Astronomi. Perangkat program pembelajaran keterampilan laboratorium Astronomi dikembangkan menggunakan strategi research and development, dengan subyek penelitian mahasiswa calon guru yang sedang mengikuti perkuliahan IPBA pada Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika suatu LPTK di Bali. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah asesmen kinerja keterampilan laboratorium, tes kemampuan generik sains, lembar observasi, dan angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PPKL-BKGS efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan laboratorium Astronomi dengan peningkatan sebesar 0,63, serta efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan generik sains calon guru dengan peningkatan %g sebesar 34,81 tergolong sedang. Tanggapan mahasiswa adalah positif terhadap implementasi PPKL-BKGS.ABSTRACTThe aims of this study were to develop a laboratory skills teaching and learning program-based on the generic science ability, who can develop laboratory skills and generic science ability for prospective teachers in Astronomy. The program was developed using research and development strategy, with the subject was prospective physics teachers who enrolled earth and space science course at the departement of physics education in a teacher training institution (LPTK) at Bali. The instrument used is a performance assesment of laboratory skills, test of generic science ability, observation sheets, and response questionnaires. The results showed that the programme effectiveness to develop the Astronomy laboratory skills with an increase of 0.63; to improve the generic science ability for prospective teachers in Astronomy, with an increase %g of 34,81 medium categories. The students responded is positively to the program implementation.
