Abstract
- Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) is a bone-derived hormone that regulates phosphorus balance by enhancing urinary phosphorus excretion and inhibiting the synthesis of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D [1,25(OH)2D] ([1][1]). Its discovery and characterization could be considered a triumph for precision
