Abstract

Green routes were used to explain the synthesis of azo-dipyran derivatives followed by the treatment of N-(pyridin-2-yl) pyrrolidine-2, 5- dione with substituted aromatic aldehyde and malononitrile utilizing a solvent-free PbO nanoparticle catalyst that provided excellent yield. The beauty of greener approach is that it helps to replace the solvent ethanol and piperidine. In the greener path employed with PbO nanoparticle catalyst which is solvent-free that produced greater yield. Thenovel class of compounds 4a-f possesses potent antimicrobial activities against certain common bacterial and fungal strains. &nbsp
