Abstract
- The clinical picture of neurological involvement in Whipple's disease (WD) may resemble progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). We looked for WD pathogen DNA in the cerebrospinal fluid of 9 patients with a clinical diagnosis of PSP. The analysis was negative for all samples, showing that WD is not commonly involved in the aetiopathogenesis of PSP.
