Abstract
- Bombus (Bombias) nevadensis Cresson, 1874 Counties: Clay, Lake, Lincoln, Murray, Ramsey, Roseau, St. Louis, Yellow Medicine. Comments: This uncommon species is primarily limited to the northern and western areas of Minnesota. The eastern range limits of B. nevadensis have been generally unclear because historically B. auricomus was considered a subspecies of B. nevadensis (e.g. Mitchell 1962, Milliron 1971). Distribution and identification in Minnesota are reported in Portman and Dolan (2022). Subgenus Bombus Latreille s. str.
Published as part of Portman, Zachary M., Gardner, Joel, Lane, Ian G., Gerjets, Nicole, Petersen, Jessica D., Ascher, John S., Arduser, Mike, Evans, Elaine C., Boyd, Crystal, Thomson, Robin & Cariveau, Daniel P., 2023, A checklist of the bees (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) of Minnesota, pp. 1-95 in Zootaxa 5304 (1) on pages 28-29, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5304.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/8048569
{"references":["Mitchell, T.
