Abstract: Factory approval test (FAT) or shop run test is a unique opportunity to evaluate rotating machine performance before delivery to site. This note presents a new adaptive signal processing method to evaluate vibration measurement during FAT based on obtained noisy data. It is also a necessary step for machine reliability, fault diagnosis, future predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring.
