On the Nehari problem for a certain class of L∞-functions appearing in control theory

In this paper we give an explicit computable solution for finding \̄g9 ≔ infq ϵ H∞(D) ∥ W − mq ∥, where W ϵ H∞(D) is rational and m ϵ H∞(D) is an arbitrary inner function. We relate this to some important problems in control theory.
