Abstract
- Psammophis namibensis Broadley, 1975 Material (one specimen): One adult specimen (MHNCUP/ REP 172, formerly UP-MHNFCP-094983; Fig. S67), collected from unknown locality, date unknown. Comments: Psammophis namibensis is found in the arid regions of southwestern Africa, namely southwestern Angola to western Namibia and Northern Cape Province in South Africa (Marques et al. 2018). P. namibensis was initially described by Broadley (1975) as a subspecies of Psammophis leightoni Boulenger, 1902 but was eventually given full species status (Broadley 2002), however, Taft’s (2018) Master’s thesis found P. namibensis to be a synonym. Ferreira did not cite this specimen but identified it as P. sibilans.<br />Published as part of Santos, Bruna S., Marques, Mariana P., Bauer, Aaron M. & Ceríaco, Luis M.
