Browallia tingo-mariae (Solanaceae), una nueva especie de la selva central del Perú

Resumen Se describe e ilustra en detalle Browallia tingo-mariae S. Leiva, que habita a orillas de la margen izquierda del rio Huallaga (a unos 200 m del puente hacia la Bella Durmiente), ciudad de Tingo Maria, prov. Leoncio Prado, region Huanuco, Peru, alrededor de los 9o15´19,6” S y 76o00´29,7” W y a 683 m de elevacion; se caracteriza principalmente por la disposicion de las flores en racimos, el indumento de sus organos vegetativos y florales, estilo incluso, corola morada clara externamente, verdosa interiormente, 14-14,2 mm (entre el lobulo mayor y los dos lobulos inferiores) y 14-14,2 mm (entre los dos lobulos laterales) de diametro del limbo en la antesis, capsula obconica erecta, lasiocarpa, rodeada por una cobertura de pelos eglandulares transparentes rigidos la ½ distal, 7-7,2 mm de largo por 5-5,2 mm de diametro, semillas 196-198 por capsula. Se incluyen datos sobre su distribucion geografica y ecologia, fenologia, estado actual y sus relaciones con otra especie afin. Abstract We describe and illustrate in detail Browallia tingo-mariae S. Leiva which inhabits the left banks of the Huallaga River (at 200 m of the bridge toward Bella Durmiente), city of Tingo Maria, province of Leoncio Prado, Huanuco Region, Peru, at 9o15´19.6” S and 76o00´29.7” W, 683 m of altitude. It is characterized mainly by its flowers arranged in racemes, the indument of its vegetative and floral organs, style included, corolla light purple externally, greenish internally, 14-14.2 mm (between the larger lobe and the two inferior lobes) and 14-14.2 mm (between the two lateral lobes) of limb diameter at anthesis, capsule obconical erect, surrounded by a covering of rigid transparent glandu­lar hairs in the distal half, 7-7.2 mm long and 5-5.2 mm of diameter, seeds 196-198 per capsule. We include data of geographic distribution, ecology, phenology, current status and relations with other similar species.
