Ion range distribution calculation based on a numerical solution of the boltzmann transport equation

Anumerical method proposed by Christel and Gibbons1for ionrange and damage distribution calculations is used in the present paper for ion range distribution calculations of heavy and light ions with several energies. The algorithm of Ref. 1 is modified in some points and is extended to range redistribution by backscattered particles.
