BURIALS OF PARISHIONERS OF ST. PARASKEVA PYATNITSA CHURCH ON THE GRAVEYARDS OF CHURCHES AND MONASTERIES OF CHERNIHIV IN THE LATE XIXth-EARLY XXth CENTURIES

The purpose of the article is to reveal question about the burial of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa church members in the graveyards of churches and monasteries of the town on the basis of the metric books of the church (1876–1919), preserved in the State Archive of the Chernihiv region. The methodological work is based on an analytical and statistical approach. Conclusion. The study indicates where the dead were buried in a city and a parish cemeteries, or in the graveyards of the Resurrection and Exaltation churches, Yeletskyi and Holy Trinity-Ilyinsky monasteries of Chernihiv. Information on the total number of deceased parishioners of the church of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa for 1876–1919 also provided, different categories of flocks are distinguished: adults or children; social status are also indicated. It is specified from what disease the person died. It is also reported which of the clergy of a church ministered and performed the rite of burial at the request of relatives or at the will of the deceased.
