Pseudopotential calculations including core-valence correlation: Alkali compounds

Semiempirical pseudopotentials including core-polarization account quantitatively for core-valence correlation and give accurate results even for relativistic molecules. We discuss the main spectroscopic constants for molecular ions of the type A′A + and AH + (A′, A: Li to Cs) and for the molecules LiH, NaK and LiF.
