Abstract: The authors propose a numerical method for extracting the spectrum of decay rates of time correlations in chaotic dynamical systems. The sum of the first p decay rates is related to the asymptotic behaviour of the time correlation of suitable exterior forms of order p. The method is applied to maps of the interval and to the Henon map.
