Abstract
- The structure of a cell wall alkali-extractable and water-soluble polysaccharide isolated from two species of Arachniotus has been established by reductive cleavage and NMR spectroscopy. The linear polysaccharide consists of a regular disaccharide-repeating unit with the structure: [ →6 )- β - d - Gal f-(1 →5 )- β - d - Gal f-(1 → ] n →mannan core.
