Subadyte Pettibone 1969

Subadyte Pettibone, 1969 Fauvel (1923) synonymized Hermadion fragile Clapar��de, 1868 with Hermadion pellucidum (Ehlers, 1864) and referred the species to Scalisetosus pellucidus, due to the presence of semi-lunar pockets in the neurochaetae. We follow Pettibone (1969) who established the genus Subadyte with the type species Subadyte pellucida, characterized by a rather short body with up to 40 segments, the lack of cephalic peaks, neuropodia without supra-acicular process, neuropodial acicular lobe elongate, and neurochaetae with semi-lunar pockets and distinctly bidentate tip.
