Abstract

Kynurenine is an amino acid that is produced as a byproduct of tryptophan metabolism in the body. It is involved in a number of important physiological processes, including the immune system, brain function, and metabolism.Elevated levels of kynurenine have been observed in a number of conditions. It is one of the most underestimated inflammation markers in clinical medicine.
