A note on fermentation reactions of anaerobic bacteria on a solid medium

A new technique is described for fermentation tests of anaerobes in which the fermentation reactions are carried out on cystine trypticase agar plates to which fermentable substances (Taxo discs) are added. This technique is simple, sensitive and reproducible.
