Abstract
- A waveguide array fiber laser is demonstrated. An AlGaAs waveguide array is used as a saturable absorber to achieve passive mode-locking in an erbium-doped fiber laser. The output consists of a very regular train of pulses. Autocorrelations show that the pulses consist of noise bursts due to incomplete mode-locking.
