Abstract

P. sindoi (Rathbun, 1906) Description. Rostrum 1.5 times as long as carapace, from the orbital margin the rostrum runs horizontally forward as far as the distal extremity of the antennular peduncle and from here it is a little and obliquely turned upward, 5 movable teeth on the carapace, lower margin is armed with 6 teeth; abdomen nearly 4-times as long as the carapace; the eyes are little more than one-fourth the length of the carapace and this diameter is slightly longer than the axial; external maxillipeds reach by their terminal joint and one-fourth of the penultimate beyond the antennal scale, exopodite small, not yet reaching to the middle of the antepenultimate joint; 1st pereopods reach by 4/5 their terminal joint (or propodus) beyond the external maxillepeds the penultimate joint or carpus is almost twice as long as the terminal, these joints being respectively 9.1 mm. and 5 mm. long in the adult female (Chace1985). Distribution.
