Abstract
- Absence of PAS-positive macrophages In hepatic and lymph node granulomata in Whipple's disease. P. J. Torzillo, L. Bignold and G. A. Khan, Aust. N.Z. J. Med., 1982, 12, pp. 73–75. A patient with Whipple's disease presented with hepatic and lymph node granulomata which contained no PAS-positive macrophages but which disappeared after penicillin treatment. The absence of PAS-positive staining in the macrophages of hepatic granulomata in Whipple's disease has not previously been reported but does not negate the diagnosis.
