Itaipusa Marcus 1949

Itaipusa Marcus, 1949 Emended diagnosis of Itaipusa (after Marcus 1949 and Karling 1980). Representative of Koinocystididae with a proboscis with a juncture sphincter. Copulatory bulb of conjucta duplex-type. Male duct armed with spiny rows (the cirrus), except in I. biglandula Reygel et al. (2011), where it is unarmed. Without accessory sclerotised structures such as stylets or hooks. Type species. Itaipusa divae Marcus, 1949, by original designation. Other species.
