Abstract

Photodetectors are fundamental components in most optoelectronic systems, therefore extending and controlling their spectral response is very appealing for a wide range of applications. In this paper, we propose and demonstrate two different dual band photodetectors which combine Ge and Si to selectively operate in the visible and near infrared spectral ranges.
