Fast and stable logarithmic converter employing resistance matching

A log-converter is described which uses a simple series circuit of a log-diode and a resistor, and is particularly advantageous for speeding up the output response. The relations concerning the characteristics of the log-diode and the resistor are studied for the purpose of extending the dynamic range of this log-converter.
