Abstract
- The molecular identity of a calcium-activated chloride channel involved in olfactory transduction has been elusive. New evidence shows that an initial candidate, bestrophin-2, cannot be the olfactory channel. Additional studies now identify anoctamin 2 (TMEM16B) as a strong candidate.
