An Effective Lagrangian for Pions, Mesons and Skyrmions

An effective Lagrangian is constructed for the system of pions, rho mesons and skyrmions in the light of a hidden local SU(2) symmetry in a non-linear sigma model. It describes vector dominance relations such as the KSRF relation, the rho universality and the rho-pole dominance in the photon coupling. It also satisfies all soft-pion threshold theorems.
