Abstract
- A thesis that explores the history and present state of Gifted and Talented, "GT" identification, education, and effects. History is essentially a way to resist the desegregation of public schools. Progress has been made towards gender inequality, however, racial and income inequality in the program persists. Statistical examination of ECLS-K public dataset leads to interesting conclusions regarding NYC's "Brilliant" GT-for-all kinder program, beginning Fall 2022.
