Background. Hyperprolactinemia can lead to negative cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart di­sease and slow down the regeneration of the gastrointestinal tract mucous membrane. The purpose of the study was to determine the possible relationship between prolactin levels and the results of Holter electrocardiography (ECG) monitoring in patients with stable angina and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Materials and methods. The study included 118 patients with angina pectoris of I–II functional class. Of these, 88 patients with stable angina and comorbid GERD (A, B, C) were included in the second group, and 30 patients with isolated stable angina formed the first group. All patients who were included in the study prior to treatment were evaluated for serum prolactin levels and Holter ECG monitoring. Results.
