Image data compressor for Huygens' DISR instrument compared to state of the art compression schemes

Abstract

Details of the DISR image data compressor are introduced. The results of compressing a test at different rates by the DISR image data compressor will be presented. In addition the DISR results are compared with the outcomes of the Beagle 2 compression scheme applied to the same test image.
