Abstract
- KMP Marine Hawk II is one of the highspeed craft that operates in Riau Archipelago. It carries the passenger as well as cargo in breakbulk within the archipelago area. This study aims to determine the technical stability calculation of KMP Marine Hawk II using numerical computation with Maxsurf software IMO Criteria requires GZ Max is 15 deg. In the departure full load condition, the GZ max value is 37.3 deg. In the navigation on full load GZ max value is 32.7 deg. While in the arrival full load is 25.5 deg with lightship condition 29.1 deg. All of those GZ numbers are satisfying the criteria from IMO HSC 2000 Annex 8 Mono Hull. However, the ship crew should consider the passenger-cargo stowage to maintain those GZ criteria.
