Dynamic oligopoly: models with incomplete information

Abstract

Dynamic multiproduct oligopoly is discussed with discrete time scales under incomplete information on the inverse demand and/or cost functions. Mathematical models of these processes are formulated, and their global asymptotical stability is analysed. A general model is introduced first, and two particular models are derived from this general formulation. In the first model only the price functions are assumed to be unknown, and in the second the cost functions of the rivals are also assumed to be unknown to all participants. Our stability analysis is based on special adjustment processes.
