Abstract

A relativistic theory of photoemission is applied to calculate angle-, energy- and “spin”resolved photoemission spectra from the (1,0,0) surface of Cu3Au, both in the ordered and solid solution phases, in order to compare them with experimental data and learn what sort of informations could be achieved by such experiments about the “spin” structure of systems made up by “light” and “heavy” atomic species. Results show the interesting potentiality of the approach.
