Abstract
- A 35-year-old man with a history of incomplete Reiter's syndrome presented with bilateral sequential non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which was associated with an elevated IgG titer to Chlamydia pneumoniae. Previous reports have shown that optic disc edema as part of posterior segment inflammation may be seen in patients with incomplete Reiter's syndrome. This is the first case report demonstrating NAION occurring in incomplete Reiter's syndrome. C. pneumoniae and small optic discs could have predisposed him to develop both this syndrome and NAION.
