An analysis of phases in Ti-based composites obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis

Composites suitable for triboengineering applications have been obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. X-ray structure investigations have been made of the phases arising from process combustion of a powder mixture of titanium and carbon in the presence of copper and metals of the iron group.
