Abstract

The influence of the time mode of cooling, electric field and electrical conductivity on the thermal hysteresis loops in capacitor structures based on Ba0.55Sr0,45TiO3 (BST) ceramics with 12 wt.% magnesium orthotitanate Mg2TiO4 (BSTM) has been studied. The values of pyroelectric coefficients of the BSTM ceramics in the paraelectric phase were found to be between 2–8 · 10–4 C / (m2 ·K). The temperature hysteresis in the absence of an external electric field is caused by the pyroelectric effect. Different mechanisms responsible for the appearance of the thermal hysteresis are discussed.
