Abstract
- In this paper, a spectral efficiently adaptive modulation DFT-spread polar coordinate-based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (P-OFDM) scheme is proposed and demonstrated in a hybrid fiber-visible laser light communication (fiber-VLLC) system. Adaptive modulation scheme and DFT-spread is used to reduce the PAPR and the impact of imbalanced SNR distribution. In contrast, the polar coordinate-based transform is used to obtain real and non-negative symbol to realize full subcarrier use. After 10km SSMF and 5m FSO transmission, the simulation results show that the proposed adaptive 128/64QAM DFT-spread P-OFDM scheme improves both the BER and spectral efficiency in VLLC system.
