Dynamics of reattachment region behind backward-facing step in a narrow channel

Abstract: Dynamics of the flow reattachment behind the backward-facing step in a narrow channel is studied experimentally using the PIV technique. Reattachment region is detected by statistical characteristics of the flow velocity close to the channel bottom. Two methods of reattachment definition are applied.
