Economic potential of the RDNK preparation work for residents around Puspiptek

In the construction of the RDNK there are three stages of activities namely pre-construction, construction, operation and maintenance. In the construction phase there is a preparatory work that provides employment opportunities for the community around the Puspiptek Serpong area. Preparation work is the stage of work that must be planned before the execution of the main work of a construction project. This study aims to obtain an overview of the economic potential that exists in the site preparation stage. Site preparation is carried out after the site permit and construction permit are obtained. The method used is a literature review on problems and analysis. The results of the study indicate that at the preparation stage of the RDNK site there are job opportunities in the informal sector, so that it can accommodate professional workers in the formal sector who were not initially accommodated. The employment opportunities include the provision of consumption, transportation, shelter and clean water supply, which if can be utilized proportionally will improve the welfare of the community.
