Relationships between occurrences of toxic Dinophysis species (Dinophyceae) and small phytoplanktons in Japanese coastal waters

Fluctuations of the genus Dinophysis, which contained several toxic species of diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (DSP), were investigated during blooms in Hiroshima Bay, Mutsu Bay and Ise Bay, Japan.
