A high impedance folded dipole antenna with three conductors for energy harvesting applications

Abstract
- We have studied a high impedance antenna in order to improve the rectifier efficiency for energy harvesting applications. Folded dipole antenna (FDA) with high impedance of over 10 kΩ is proposed. To obtain higher impedance stepup ratio compared with the conventional FDA, an FDA consisting with three strip conductors is investigated. Impedance stepup ratio is calculated and the results in theory, simulation and measurement are compared.
