Electron injection into a polydiacetylene crystal (DCH)

NaK, Na and Ca inject SCL election currents into crystals of poly-1,6-di(N-carbazolyl)-2,4-hexadiyne (DCH). An electron mobility (6 ± 2) × 10 3 cm 2 V −1 s − η in chain direction follows. Temperature-dependent injection from Mg yields −3.4 and −5.8 eV for electron affinity and ionization potential of DCH. Absence of injection into PTS is attributed to surface traps.
