Abstract
- Originally produced as a two-part filmstrip and audio cassette program, "If Fish Could Talk" focuses on marine pollution including its causes and potential solutions. Designed for grades 5-12, the program relates basic oceanography concepts to marine pollution. Written by Lou Iozzi of Rutgers University and coproduced by New Jersey and New York Sea Grant, "If Fish Could Talk" includes a companion manual with class and further discussion activities. If Fish Could Talk has been prepared to help make students more knowledgeable about ocean pollution in general and about how it applies to the New York-New Jersey coastal zone. It is the author's hope that as a result of studying If Fish Could Talk your students will become more interested in contributing to a resolution of one of the world’s pressing problems.
